International Equity Management Style
Through our international investment partner, JPMorgan Asset Management, GWLIM offers two international funds, the International Equity Fund and the International Opportunity Fund. Their investment process focuses on rigourous fundamental stock analysis driven by bottom-up stock selection.
Selection Based on Local Expertise
JPMorgan finds stocks for the International Equity Strategy from its extensive on-the-ground research capability which is made up largely of local Regional Specialists. These local experts work with their country’s stocks every day, building and managing local portfolios. They rank 1,300 stocks in the international universe. Global Sector Analysts then review the regional experts’ preferred companies to identify potential winners in each global sector.
Emphasis on Valuations and Sectors
Armed with this bottom-up analysis, the Strategy’s Portfolio Managers construct portfolios that capture the Regional Specialists’ and Global Sector Analysts’ 80-120 best ideas, while managing risk. This approach helps provide stability and diversity, and is rooted in the experience of our extensive worldwide analyst network.
